Overview
Design
Xiaomi Poco M7 is the successor of the Poco M6. The front side will be glass, but the side frame and back side will be plastic.
Display
A 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel will be used to display this mobile phone. This panel has a water-drop notch cutout for the selfie camera in the top center. This screen will support a 120Hz high refresh rate. This panel will brighten up to 900 nits in harsh outdoor sunlight conditions. Nine hundred nits of peak brightness is very decent. Corning Gorilla Glass will protect this screen.
Camera
The Xiaomi Poco M7 will come with dual rear cameras and one front camera. A 50MP rear main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and an 8MP front camera. The 2MP macro camera is useless. The 50MP main camera will capture decent photos and videos in 1080p 30fps without any stabilization. The 8MP front camera will also capture decent photos and videos at 1080p 30fps. A phone in 2025, with no ultrawide camera and no 4K video recording is very disappointing.
Performance
Android 14 and Hyper OS will run on the operating system. This mobile will find 2 Years of Android and 3 years of security updates. The 2-3 years update is decent. The MediaTek Dimensity 6080 will be used as the chipset. It is an Octa-core chip based on 6-nanometer fabrication. The Octa-core is divided by 2 core 2.4 GHz cortex A76 and 6 core 2.0 GHz cortex A55. The Mali G57 MP2 will be used as the GPU for this chip. This chip can hit more than 4.2 Laks Antutu scores, which is a decent Antutu score.
Battery
This mobile phone will be powered by a 5500mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. This battery supports up to 33W wired, and reverse wired charging. With a 33-watt charger, this phone will fully charge in less than 90 minutes.
