Overview
Design
In the last four years, Samsung has followed its A series design on Its flagship S series. Samsung Galaxy A18 is no different. The front side will be glass, but the back & side frame will be plastic.
Display
A 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel will be used to display this mobile phone. This panel has a small punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the top center. This screen will support a 120Hz high refresh rate. In consuming HDR content, this panel will hit up to 2300 nits of peak brightness. Two thousand three hundred nits of peak brightness is huge. The panel will be bright up to 1000 nits, which is decent for harsh outdoor sunlight. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 will protect this screen.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy A18 will come with three rear cameras and one front camera. A 50MP rear main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP front camera. The two-megapixel macro camera is useless. Because an ultrawide camera can capture good macro photos. Nowadays, almost all youth love to take pictures in tight focal length portrait mode. A telephoto camera is very useful when clicking DSLR-like portrait photos. But this phone will have no telephoto camera. The 50MP main camera captures good pictures and decent videos in 4K 30fps and 1080p 30/60fps with gyro-EIS and OIS. The 8MP ultrawide camera can capture decent 120-degree wide photos and videos. The 16MP front camera can capture good pictures and decent videos at 4K 30fps, 1080p 30fps.
Performance
Android 17 and One UI 9.0 will run on the operating system. This phone will find updates up to Android 22. The Exynos 1380 will be used as the chipset. It is an Octa-core chip based on 5-nanometer fabrication. These 8 cores are divided into 4 cores 2.4GHz cortex A78 and another 4 cores 2.0GHz cortex A55. The Mali G68 MP5 will be used as the GPU for this chip. It is a good chip. This chip can hit more than 5.7 Laks Antutu scores, which is a good Antutu score.
Sound System
It will have stereo speakers as loudspeakers, and at the bottom of the phone, there will be a 3.5mm headphone hole. The stereo speakers’ sound is good.
Battery
This mobile phone will be powered by a 5500mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. This battery supports up to 25W PD2.0 wired, and reverse wired charging. With a 25-watt charger, this phone will fully charge in less than 80 minutes.
