Design
Samsung always copied the A series design from the flagship S series design. Samsung A17 is no different. The front sides will made of glass and the side frame and back side will made of plastic.
Display
A 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel will used to display. This panel has a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the top center. This screen will support a 120Hz high refresh rate. In consuming HDR content this panel will hit up to 1200 nits peak brightness. 1200 nits peak brightness is decent. The panel will be bright enough to watch content decently in harsh outdoor sunlight. This screen will protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy A17 will come with triple rear cameras and one front camera. 50MP rear main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 13MP front camera. In the back, the main and ultrawide cameras are useful but the 2MP macro camera is useless. The 50MP main camera captures good photos and decent videos in 4K 30fps and 1080p 30/60fps with gyro-EIS and OIS. The 8MP ultrawide camera can capture 122˚ wide photos and videos. The 13MP front camera can capture great photos and decent videos at 1080 30fps.
Performance
Android 15 and One UI 7.0 will run for the operating system. Samsung’s in-house SOC Exynos 1380 will used as the chipset. It is an octa-core chip. This chip is based on 5 nano-meter fabrication. Mali G68 MP5 will used as the GPU of this chip. It is a decent powerful chip in the low midrange. This chip can hit more than 5.5 laks Antutu scores. This is a decent Antutu score considering the price.
Sound System
It will have stereo speakers as loudspeakers. But no 3.5mm headphone jack. The stereo speaker’s sound is good.
Battery
A 5500mAh non-removable Li-Po batter will be used to power up this mobile. This battery will support up to 25W PD wired charging. With a 25W charger, this phone will fully charge in less than one and a half hours. But no charger in the box. It is very disappointing.
