Overview
Design
Last year, the Xiaomi Redmi K70 came with a rectangular camera cutout. The next model, the Xiaomi Redmi K80, comes with a circular camera cutout. The front and back sides will be glass, and the side frame will be aluminum.
Display
A 6.67-inch 2K OLED panel will be used to display this mobile phone. This panel has a small punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the top center. This screen supports a 120Hz high refresh rate. In consuming HDR content, this panel will hit up to 3200 nits of peak brightness. Three thousand five hundred nits of peak brightness is huge. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i is used to protect this screen.
Camera
The Xiaomi Redmi K80 comes with dual rear cameras and one front camera. A 50MP rear main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 20MP front camera. Nowadays, almost all youth love to take photos in tight focal length portrait mode. A telephoto camera is very useful when clicking DSLR-like portrait photos. But this phone has no telephoto camera. With OIS & gyro EIS, the back camera captures videos in 8K 24fps, 4K 24/30/60fps, and 1080p 30/60/120/25/240/960fps. The 20MP front camera also captures videos at 1080p 30/60fps with gyro-EIS.
Performance
Android 15 and Hyper OS 2 run on the operating system. This mobile finds up to 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security updates. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is used as the chipset. It is an octa-core chip based on 4-nanometer fabrication.
