On 26 June, Xiaomi is planning a big product launch event in China. In this event, Xiaomi will launch their second-generation Flip phone, Mix Flip 2. Last year July 19, the first flip phone was released.
This year, Xiaomi will be more focused on the flip phone. In some leaks, the Mix Fold 5 will not come this year. So, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will be the only foldable phone Xiaomi will launch.
After launch, some official images were leaked. In this image, we see that Flip 2 is more similar to Mix Flip first Gen.
In this image, the Mix Flip 2 vertical camera setup is the same as to Flip first gen. The cover screen display bezel is thinner than the first generation. Looks like very premium.
IPX8 will be rated as water resistant. This is fully water resistant, but not dust resistant. We know that, for durability, hinge quality is a very important part of a foldable phone. This will offer an improved and high-strength hinge than the previous model. It also passed the military standard drop test for more durability.
In the market, we will find three different colors of Mix Flip 2. Those colors are gold, green, and purple. These colors are very attractive. It will be more lightweight, slimmer, and compact than the first-generation flip. We expect the thickness to be around 7.5 to 7.7mm and the weight to be around 185 to 190g.
A 6.85-inch folding 1.5K resolution 120Hz panel will be used as a screen. The two back cameras are a 50MP main and a 50MP ultrawide. A massive 5,100mAh battery and 67W wired and 50W wireless charging will be offered by this phone. 5100mAh is a very big battery for a flip phone.
