Honor is all set to launch its fifth-generation foldable phone, Honor Magic V5. Last year, Magic V3 played a key role in the foldable phone market. This year, the foldable comes with almost every sector upgrade. After launch, Honor confirmed a 6100mAh massive battery.
In the foldable market, Samsung Z Fold 7 has a 4400mAh, Oppo N5 has 5600mAh, Vivo X Fold 5 has a 6000mAh, and Mate XT Ultimate has a 5600mAh battery. But Honor surprised its competitor with a 6100mAh battery. This battery is named Qinghai Lake. This battery, Honor uses a high-silicon anode with 25% silicon content. While another brand provides up to 10% silicon content in the battery. It seems like a major upgrade. This battery is not just larger, but it is packed advanced AI system for safety and the longest battery life. This system Honor called AI Dujlangyan power management system. With this technology, foldable phones will get more user satisfaction.
Alongside the battery part, Magic V5 will also come with more thickness, just 8.8mm, and more lightness, only 217g. Last year, V3 was 9.3mm thick and 226g in weight. This is one of the thinnest and lightest foldable in the market. In some leaks, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will come with more thinnest. But this phone will offer only 4400mAh battery.
For cameras, Honor Magic V5 comes with F1.6 to F2.5 variable aperture with a 13mm ultrawide and a 70mm or 3x periscope telephoto camera. The AIMAGE system will include a camera for more enhanced photography and videography.
The flagship chip, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, will be used as the chipset. This chip offers more than 28 laks Antutu scores. For unlocking, Honor uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and software-based face unlock. It also supports IP68 and IP69 dust & water resistance. For a foldable phone, the IP68/IP69 support is very impressive.
Honor Magic V5 is already live on JD.com and can be pre-ordered. On July 2, Magic V5 will officially announce, and the price will be announced there.
